A Quality Assurance program is a system of plans, tests, reviews, reports, records, and actions, whose purpose is to protect your patients and staff from unnecessary exposure to radiation and to reduce the occurrence of misdiagnosis caused by faulty equipment. The States of NJ and NY require that all non-veterinarian facilities with medical diagnostic x-ray equipment develop and implement a QA program. A Walsh Imaging has been providing Quality Assurance programs for over 15 years.
Our program is designed to make sure:
» The x-ray machine works properly
» The film processor functions properly
» Appropriate technique factors are used
» Your staff is properly trained
A properly implemented Quality Assurance program will optimize radiographic image quality, improve diagnosis, and reduce unnecessary radiation to your patients and staff. Over time, you will begin to notice that the number of repeat radiographs will decrease, giving you the added benefit of saving money while improving patient care.
A Walsh Imaging is certified to offer New Jersey and New York medical facilities with Quality Assurance programs that suit their requirements. We are also capable of recommending a registered physicist to perform your annual testing as state required. For your day to day testing, we provide essential tools recommended for your Quality Assurance testing, such as:
» Box of control film
» Densitometer
» Digital thermometer
» QC Phantoms
» Sensitometer
Clients can arrange to have QA testing performed during their scheduled processor maintenance. We are also capable of assisting non-clients with their state QA obligations. |
